User agreement
1. General
- 1.1This is the Lunacy Market user agreement: sign-in, a listing, a deal, balance, the fee, refunds and questions.
- 1.2Using the site means acting on this agreement. The Russian text leads the English translation.
- 1.3Lunacy Market matches a buyer and a seller of Steam items: Dota 2, CS2, Rust, TF2 and Steam community items. The site does not take the item and does not send the trade or gift itself.
- 1.4The site is not affiliated with Valve and is not the Steam store.
2. Who uses the site
- 2.1Use the site from the age of 18, with your own Steam account and your own payment method.
- 2.2Do not pass another person’s Steam account, card or sign-in codes to the site.
- 2.3One profile and one balance cover every game. You can link your other Steam accounts to the profile. If the second one already had a profile, the balance, listings and deals join the open profile.
- 2.4The last linked Steam cannot be removed. Removing another one takes its free listings off sale. A deal that has already started is not cancelled by this, and the money is not returned by itself.
- 2.5Sign-in for a linked Steam can be turned off without removing the account. A newly linked Steam is for inventory and listings first: you cannot sign in with it until you turn sign-in on. The last Steam that can sign in cannot be turned off. Turning sign-in off does not take listings down and does not cancel a deal that has started.
- 2.6A trading ban on the site blocks listing, buying and leaving a buy order. If Steam does not allow trades in that game, the listing, the purchase and the order do not go through either.
3. Sign-in
- 3.1Sign-in uses Steam OpenID. The site never asks for a Steam password, Steam Guard codes or a personal Steam API key, and it does not store them.
- 3.2The person supplies their own trade URL and confirms the trade or gift in the game client.
- 3.3Buying and listing need your own trade URL. A URL with someone else’s partner number is not saved.
- 3.4The sign-in code in settings is optional. It is not a Steam Guard code. If it is on, after Steam the site asks for 6 digits from Google Authenticator or a similar app, or for one backup code. Backup codes are shown once. While the code is off, a balance transfer does not go out. The code is turned off the same way: with the current digits or a backup code.
- 3.5Every profile has a numbered address. In settings you can set a name: 3 to 20 characters, starting with a letter and ending with a letter or a digit, using latin letters, digits and _. Two underscores in a row and words already used by the site’s own pages are not accepted. The page then opens as /profile/name, and the current numbered address leads there. A number left after profiles are joined does not open that page and is not given to another person. The name can be changed at most once an hour. The current name and the three previous ones stay with the profile, and older ones are released. An empty field removes the name. A name another person already has is not saved.
- 3.6The catalog is open without signing in. A guest can put a lot in the cart. Paying, listing, leaving a buy order, writing and opening the watchlist need a Steam sign-in.
4. A listing
- 4.1The seller lists an item from their own Steam inventory and sets the price in whole rubles. The lowest listing price is 1 ₽, and the highest is 10,000,000 ₽.
- 4.2On the main address the account inventory asks you to pick a game. On a game address it shows that game’s public Steam inventory. If several of your own Steam accounts are linked, you can open one of them. Search, filters and sorting only narrow that list and do not create a listing by themselves. Dota 2 has a “Gifts” filter on that list.
- 4.3If Steam holds the trade until a date, the copy cannot be listed until that date has passed. The inventory page shows the date with a time zone. A copy that can neither be traded nor gifted cannot be listed. A Dota 2 copy that cannot be traded but can be gifted is listed as a gift: the seller delivers it in the game client.
- 4.4The same copy cannot be listed again while the first lot is on sale or already in a deal.
- 4.5The price of an active listing can be changed while it is not in a deal. Taking it down cancels the listing: the same button does not put it back on sale. If the seller changed the price in time, that lot is not bought at the old price. In the account a listing shows a status: “Active”, “In a deal”, “Sold” or “Removed”.
- 4.6If the copy is no longer in the public inventory, the site may take the active listing down. A private inventory and a failed check do not take the lot down by themselves. A listing that is already in a deal is not taken down this way. Money does not move.
- 4.7A catalog card shows the item and the lot price, not the seller’s face. A “Steam” figure is a reference price from Steam, and it may be missing. The person pays the lot price.
- 4.8On the item page a lot shows the seller’s name and when they were last seen. Next to it the page says whether trades were completed: the share, or “no completed trades yet”. If there are reviews, the score is shown. If they have more than one active listing in that game, the count is shown. A catalog card does not show this. The figures do not promise that the trade will go through.
- 4.9Catalog search compares the query with the item name, the Russian name and the Steam name. It does not search the seller’s name. On the Steam community board the query is also compared with the game name on the item. Filters and sorting, including “Cheaper than Steam” and “Best vs Steam”, only narrow and order the list: they do not reserve a lot and do not change the deal price. On the item page the price filters work the same way; CS2 also filters by float, pattern and sticker, and Dota 2 by delivery and gem. The purchase uses the chosen listing.
- 4.10From two characters the search field in the header suggests up to eight items. Items that have a lot are taken into the suggestion first. An item with a lot shows its lowest price in whole rubles, and an item without a lot says “Out of stock”. On the main address the game stands next to it. The suggestion opens the item page and does not reserve a lot.
- 4.11Identical copies from one seller at one price share a card. The price on it is for one copy. The quantity chooses how many to list, buy, put in the cart or take down. A copy with a different price, gift, wear, pattern, stickers, gems, style or name tag does not join that card. One purchase takes at most 24 of those copies, and each becomes its own deal.
- 4.12Wear, float, pattern, stickers and gems on the item page come from Steam’s data for that copy. The site does not measure the item again. The model slider is a preview: the purchase uses the listing, not the slider position. “Inspect in game” opens CS2 with that copy’s float and pattern when the game is installed. It is not a purchase.
- 4.13The history tab shows up to 20 completed sales of that item: the deal number, time and price, without the parties’ names. The chart starts from two such sales and does not promise a future price. The feed on the home page and on the Sales page shows up to 16 completed sales: the item, price and time, without names and SteamIDs. On a game address these are that game’s sales, and on the main address they are sales from every game. A count of completed sales may stand next to the feed. The feed does not promise a future price.
- 4.14A Dota 2 set on its page is separate lots, not one purchase of the whole set. The cart receives only the parts that are on sale, and not your own lot. Each part is paid for on its own. Parts that are not on sale are not added.
5. A deal
- 5.1The buyer pays the listing price from available balance. The sum is held and the listing leaves the board. You cannot buy your own listing. The buyer and the seller cannot cancel a paid deal themselves. Before payment the lot is removed from the cart.
- 5.2In one submission each lot is bought separately. If the next lot is not bought, deals already created in that submission are not rolled back.
- 5.3The cart does not reserve a lot and does not take money. It holds no more than twelve lots, and your own lot is not added. Until payment goes through, someone else can buy the lot. The cart is a browser note, not part of the account: after sign-in it stays in that browser, and on lunacy.market it is shared across subdomains.
- 5.4The watchlist stores up to 100 items, and the list is visible only to its owner. The item page shows how many people watch it, without names. It does not reserve a lot and does not hold the price. When someone else lists that item, a notification may arrive.
- 5.5On a normal trade the buyer may give a friend’s trade URL. The item goes to the friend, and the buyer pays and confirms receipt. An empty URL or the buyer’s own URL means the item goes to the buyer. A bad URL and the seller’s URL are not accepted. A Dota 2 gift does not use someone else’s URL: the recipient is the buyer.
- 5.6A normal listing must be traded in Steam within 30 minutes. A Dota 2 gift must be gifted in the game client within 24 hours.
- 5.7A “buy” order is a price in whole rubles, not below 1 ₽. Creating it does not take money from the balance and does not grab a new listing. A gift is not accepted into an order. You can remove your own open order. No more than twenty orders can be open at once. On the item page an open order is visible to everyone: the name, the number and the price. The balance is not shown there.
- 5.8The seller accepts the order with their own listing at or below that price, if the buyer still has enough available money and the copy is still in the inventory. The order price is then held, and the deal continues as a normal one. If the money falls below the price, the open order is removed.
- 5.9The site does not check a 30-day Steam friendship and does not read the trade contents. The Friends page shows the add date from Steam and does not remove friends. For a Dota 2 gift Steam usually asks for 30 days, but that page does not stop the purchase.
- 5.10Only the buyer presses “I have the item”. It does not move money and does not open a dispute. The deal waits for an administrator.
- 5.11Only an administrator pays the seller or returns the money. They can pay or refund without a dispute, while the deal is still open. A second payout or a second refund of the same deal does not create another ledger entry.
- 5.12The seller marks the item sent when the trade or gift has already gone out. A normal trade needs the link of the offer that was already sent, not a link to a new offer. A gift has no such link. After the deadline the mark cannot be saved. The mark does not move money.
- 5.13After the deadline the money does not return by itself. If the item did not arrive, or the parties disagree, they open a dispute.
- 5.14The buyer or the seller opens a dispute while the deal is waiting for the trade, the sent mark, or an administrator’s decision. A closed, cancelled or refunded deal has no dispute. A second dispute on the same deal does not open. A dispute stops the timer, and until there is a decision the held sum goes to neither side.
- 5.15After an administrator pays the seller, the buyer leaves one score from 1 to 5. The text can be left empty. After it is sent, the buyer cannot change the review. A reply under the review is written by an administrator. The seller does not reply. An administrator can remove a review.
- 5.16A review is visible to everyone: on the seller’s page and on the Reviews page. It shows the author’s name, the seller’s name, the item, the score, the time and the text, if there is any. Email and balance are not there. The list can be narrowed to one score from 1 to 5, and up to 20 reviews are shown at once. The administrator’s reply is visible too. The average score is calculated from every review and does not promise the next deal.
- 5.17The buyer sees the deal status under Purchases, and the seller under Sales: the number, the item, the status and the price. The lists show up to 50 of the latest deals. The deal page itself stays available to its buyer and seller. The statuses are “Waiting for the seller’s trade”, “Trade sent”, “Waiting for an admin decision”, “Dispute”, “Closed”, “Cancelled” and “Money returned to the buyer”. The site does not send an email about the deal.
- 5.18A notification in the account may arrive about a purchased lot, a receipt mark, a credit and a refund, a buy order, a transfer, a top-up and a withdrawal, a style order, a new message, a support reply and a reply to a review. The notification does not move money by itself and does not replace the deal page.
6. Fee and balance
- 6.1The fee is published on the Fees page and is fixed on the deal at payment. It is calculated from the price of one copy and rounded down to a kopek. The buyer pays the full listing price. The seller pays the fee when the administrator credits the deal: the seller receives the price minus the fee. The starting rate is 5%. Before a listing is created, the price field shows what remains after the current fee. That hint does not fix the deal.
- 6.2An administrator may change the rate for new deals. A deal that already exists keeps its rate.
- 6.3Balance is a ledger in kopeks, not the person’s bank account. Available and held amounts are sums of ledger buckets. On the pages a sum is shown in whole rubles: kopeks are not rounded up and stay in the ledger.
- 6.4In the wallet, the History page shows only that person up to 100 of the latest entries: the time, what happened, where the sum sits — available, held or the site — and the sum in whole rubles. It does not show someone else’s history.
- 6.5Only available balance can be withdrawn, and only by a request. The amount is whole rubles, from 1 ₽ to 10,000,000 ₽. The site takes no separate fee for a withdrawal. The form asks for an amount and where to send it: a bank and a phone for SBP, or another method. Do not write a full card number. While the request is being checked, the sum is held, a second request is not created, and the person cannot cancel their own request. An administrator’s refusal returns the sum to available balance. A withdrawal ban blocks a new request.
- 6.6A top-up asks only for an amount: whole rubles, from 1 ₽ to 10,000,000 ₽. No more than three top-ups can be waiting at once. On lunacy.market the person pays on the payment service’s page, and the balance grows only after a signed notice for the amount entered on this site. Without the payment service, the top-up stays a request for an administrator.
- 6.7Available balance can be sent to another person who has already signed in. The amount is whole rubles, from 1 ₽ to 10,000,000 ₽, there is no fee, the sign-in code must be on, and each send asks for that code. You cannot send it to yourself. Held money stays put. A withdrawal ban closes the transfer.
- 6.8An invited person enters a code once. Your own code is not accepted. A new code invites from then on, and the previous one stays on the account and no longer invites. The inviter’s share comes out of the site fee and is not added to the price. An administrator sets the share, and it is not more than half of the fee. A deal with the inviter does not pay the share. If the buyer and the seller have different inviters, the share is split between them.
7. The second Arcana style
- 7.1The arcanastyle host sells a service that opens a second Arcana style. That is not an item listing. It uses the same balance.
- 7.2Payment opens when that Arcana is visible on the given Steam profile and the needed style is still locked. The profile can be another account: the site reads the public inventory. Each service goes into the cart once, and no more than twelve.
- 7.3The service card shows the full price. If a minimum below the full price is set for the service, the inventory check can lower the amount: at zero style progress the full price is charged, at full progress the minimum, and in between the price falls in a straight line and is rounded to a whole ruble. Before the charge the site calculates this amount again.
- 7.4The style itself opens from the Arcana counter in matches. Ask how and when an operator will do the order before you buy.
- 7.5In the account an order is “In queue”, “In progress”, “Done” or “Refunded”. Up to 50 of the latest are shown. While the status is “In queue” or “In progress”, the sum stays held. The operator marks “Done”: the hold comes off, and the sum does not return to available balance. An administrator marks “Refunded”, and the sum is available again.
- 7.6If the service is not done, the refund follows the refunds section.
8. Refunds
- 8.1Money from a deal that did not happen goes back to the buyer’s available balance. An administrator makes the refund after checking the deal or deciding a dispute. A second refund of the same deal does not create another ledger entry.
- 8.2Payment for an ArcanaStyle service stays held until the order is marked done. If the service is not done, an administrator returns the sum to available balance.
- 8.3Unspent available balance, including a top-up, is withdrawn by a request on the withdrawal page. An administrator checks and processes it. Held money cannot be withdrawn.
- 8.4The site does not refund a card payment automatically through the cashier. The page the payment service sends a person back to does not create a ledger entry by itself.
9. What is not allowed
- 9.1Do not take a deal off the site, ask for the item before payment, or ask for a Steam password or Steam Guard codes.
- 9.2Do not list accounts, keys as access to someone else’s account, phishing, malware or gambling.
- 9.3The full list is on the Prohibited page.
10. What is not promised
- 10.1The site does not promise that Steam will allow the trade, that the item will arrive, or that a payout will happen by itself when a new copy of the same item appears in an inventory.
- 10.2The site does not promise that a lot is cheaper than on Steam. The comparison on a card reads two figures and does not change the deal price.
- 10.3Automatic payout by inventory match is forbidden.
- 10.4An account can be restricted if a deal is taken off the site or someone asks for the item before payment.
- 10.5If Steam later cancels the trade, the site does not roll the payout back by itself: it does not read the trade contents. An administrator decides that deal after a message.
- 10.6After sign-in, the Inventory value page calculates a public inventory from a profile link, a SteamID, a partner number or a trade URL. It is a reference: it does not create a listing, it does not change the balance, and the item does not move onto the site. A stack has two figures: the cheapest lot on the site, when that game is in the catalog, and the lowest Steam price. Items with no price are not in the total. A private inventory is not read. The total does not promise that those items will be bought at those prices.
11. Questions
- 11.1Ask about a deal, a top-up, a withdrawal or a service in Support after signing in with Steam. The reply arrives in the same thread and in notifications.
- 11.2Without signing in, write to info@lunacy.market or to @lunacy_market on Telegram. The channels are listed on the Contacts page.
- 11.3Do not insult or threaten people in support or in messages.
- 11.4A support staff member replies in the thread. Support has no payout or refund buttons: an administrator presses those.
- 11.5A message on the site does not create a deal and does not deliver the item. You cannot write to yourself. On the seller’s page the Write button opens a thread with them after sign-in. A message is from one character to 2,000.
- 11.6No more than ten support requests can be open at once. The person can close their own. A request cannot be tied to someone else’s deal. A closed request is not reopened by the person: a new one is written from the form. A staff member can reopen it.
12. A new edition
- 12.1A new edition of the agreement is published on this page. The update date sits at the bottom.
- 12.2A deal that already exists keeps the fee it had at payment.
